Diamandes Gran Reserva Malbec

Aged for 20 or so months in French oak, this one of¬fers a lot of depth- “it’s a wine you could fall in¬to”, said one taster. Dark plum, a nice fruiti¬ness and full-fla¬vored ex¬pres-sion bal¬ances with a lit¬tle charred wood. It’s def¬i¬nite¬ly got “struc¬ture”, one of those words that is easy to say but hard to taste for the most part, and pri¬mar¬i¬ly means that it seems like a wine will age well. This wine is thick, big and inky, completely opaque; think Spain meets California: you get the “Reserva” characteristics from Spain and the deep, dark, ripe, concentrated fruit for California. Dense, concentrated and youthful with blackcurrant fruit which develops in well in the mouth. Unique and interesting in a good way, this is well made, high quality wine that is wonderfully expressive and well worth trying.

Charles Mignon Brut
Grande Tradition Champagne

With 70% of the grapes coming from Premier and Grand Cru vineyards, there is no surprise that this ultra-supple, creamy blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 20% each of Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier has great finesse and style. This wine is pure, medium weighted and intensely flavored, fresh and cleansing whilst being beautifully balanced and elegant.

Epernay is the capital of the Champagne region, a town with a rich historical past, snuggled up along the Marne between hillsides and forests, and the headquarters of the principle brands of champagne. CHARLES MIGNON, one of the rare houses with a family character, is implanted there and fervently holds onto its native Champagne identity.
